Rowdy Baubles Featured in Curve Magazine!

[image description: photo me holding a magazine open and pointing to where my "gndrfckr" necklaces are pictured]

Check it out! Rowdy Baubles is featured in the current issue of Curve Magazine. The feature profiles stylish items for Pride season – not your usual cheap plastic rainbow beads! My “gndrfckr” glitter resin necklaces are featured prominently, as are other awesome items from indie crafters (like me) as well as a few corporate designers.

I think it’s awesome that Curve chose to profile pride items from Etsy, and hopefully this will be great promotion for Rowdy and all of the businesses listed.

However, I can’t say that I am pleased by the rest of the articles…

A Rowdy Webcomic! #1:

The amazing max (my bestie) made a comic about Rowdy!

I hope your Rowdy Baubles also make you feel this way!

[image description: a comic, drawn mostly in black line, titled "never fully dressed: a very rowdy webcomic by max" in the bottom left corner. it shows 4 images of the same person from the waist up-- a thin white genderqueer person with short hair. in the first image, they are half propped up in bed, with one eye closed and one eye half-open, with spirals and stars about their head. in the second, they are pulling on a shirt, with a black cloud above their head and a cranky expression. in the third, they are looking at necklaces hanging from a wire rack-- one is colored in pink, one blue, and one purple, with small colored lines indicating sparkliness around them. they are half-smiling and the cloud above their head has popped. in the final image they are wearing the blue necklace and smiling broadly, with two little popped bubbles/ sun shapes above their head.]

Rowdy Relaunched!

[photo of four glittery "neither" necklaces]

Since Rowdy launched eight months ago, I’ve learned A LOT.  Now I’m back to blogging and excited to continue working to make Rowdy the absolute best it can be. I’ve been so touched by all the feedback, photos and love I have received, from friends and total strangers all over the world. I spent last summer building Rowdy because I believed in it – and it feels sooooooo good to know that you believe in it too.

I’ve expanded the collection to include etched copper jewelry in addition to the original resin line. My pronoun jewelry has been a big hit as well! And don’t forget those awesome Dichotomy necklaces, glamorous one-of-a-kind necklaces and earrings, House Pride Hogwarts jewelry and beautiful sea creature themed pieces.

And there is even more to come! In the coming months I will be launching a new line of word-based mix-and-match resin earrings as well as Glam Strands, a collection of easy-to-wear convertible necklaces and bracelets.. This blog is going to become the central location for all things Rowdy – so stay tuned. News, events, sales, giveaways, webcomics, recipes, fashion inspiration…who knows! We may even have some guest bloggers.

As always, I hope that you will help Rowdy Baubles continue to expand. If you think your local queer center or radical bookstore needs to be carrying Rowdy goods, let me know! If you’d like to commission a special item from Rowdy for your organization, or if you would like to have Rowdy Baubles be a part of your organization’s silent auction or fundraiser, please get in touch. You can reach me through the Etsy shop or email me directly at: rowdybaubles@yahoo.com

Even just posting a link to us on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter or Pinterest is a big help!

Additionally, I’ll be vending at the Fremont Sunday Market here in Seattle select Sundays throughout the summer (starting tomorrow!). I won’t have the resin pieces there but I will have tons of exclusive new sea creature etchings, like this one:

To celebrate reaching 100 likes on Facebook, I’m having a sale!

Summer is approaching ! That means bare necks and of course, Pride. Shop the Etsy shop with coupon code “FB100″ until the end of May for 25% off!
