I’ve got a lot of things in the works to stock the shop for the winter gift-giving season. I’m having a lot of fun pushing the limits of my creativity and technique! Today I finished off three new pieces:
Expect these (& others!) to be listed in the shop on Saturday. Every weekend in November I’ll be listing new stuff, so stay tuned!
I’ve always been a sucker for tourmalinated quartz. Something about those dark shocks of black tourmaline running through crystal clear quartz…it’s an incredibly beautiful stone. There’s a lot of variation in the pattern and clarity available – these stones are high-quality with quartz ranging from clear to slightly cloudy with distinct strings of tourmaline. I’ve dangled them from hammered & oxidized sterling-filled headpins and strung them between gorgeous rondelles of black lava stone. The pendant measures about 2″ across with a longest drop of 2″. It is strung on black cotton cord with gunmetal findings. 18″ long extends to 21″.
Aren’t these hematite stars amazing? Here I’ve strung five of them on a hammered steel wire pendant with iridescent Swarovski crystals in between. This pendant is 3″ across. Chain is a lovely antique silver color and measures 18″, extending to 21″.
This lovely rainbow bar necklace is a more petite version of one I posted last week. It is about 2.5″ across and wrapped with 14 4mm Swarvoski crystals making a full rainbow. I’ve strung it on black cotton cord for increased wearability. 18″ extends to 21″, gunmetal findings.
